Horários Vimeca, is a Portuguese mobile application that enables the user to access the schedule of all buses from public transportation company Vimeca.

History

Since I’m a customer of the Vimeca transportation service with IT skills I could not let the awful website provided by them, stop me from getting the information I need.

This led to a small project as a case study including phonegap, HTML, JavaScript and the Vimeca website.

Since the information isn’t available on a structured, consumable manner, some scrapping was involved.

I really hope that this app turns into a call to action for all Portuguese public transportation services and thus, they begin to embrace a mindset set for this century.
